Challenge

A medium-size manufacturer of invasive therapeutic products had a next generation product development project stalled in the design verification & validation phase; they could not produce the product well enough to pass testing.

Solution

AlvaMed provided a project manager and technical team specialists, who were integrated into the client’s team.  Under the strong leadership and direction of the project manager, the team identified a polymer resin issue as the root cause of the problem, and the project went back a phase for redesign.

Results

The company saved money and considerable risk by not proceeding with a flawed product; the project got back on track.
